Hello there and welcome to the start of my (publicised) recovery journey. I’ve been at this myself for the past six months – well, alongside the help from my family, neurosurgeon, doctor and physiotherapist – but my publicised journey begins here, I suppose. Read more about it on my About Me page!
A back injury is severe, they say. It takes long to recover, they say. Boy were they right! My usual slow exercise consists of quite a few specific stretches daily – mostly to limber myself up for the day, or to relax for bed – as well as about 30 minutes of walking exercise to and from the train station. I’ve found that this is enough to tire me out, but I am of course looking to increase it, get fitter again, lose weight, and of course, which you’ll know if you’ve visited my About Me page, to return to netball!
But here we go – I hope this encourages me to do it all without hurting myself. I ideally want to get a short-term and long-term goals post up next, so be out on the look out for that if you’re following along at home. As for today – I did my usual walking, and then a walk with my dad this evening. Now I’m off to do my daily stretches – good night!
